Hardwood Mulch
Natural shredded hardwood — knits together and stays put on slopes.

Material · Mulch
Hardwood, dyed and pine mulch delivered by the load — cheaper than bags, and enough to finish every bed in one delivery.
A 2–3" layer of mulch keeps moisture in the soil, holds down weeds, evens out soil temperature through Alabama summers and improves the soil as it breaks down. Refresh it once a year and your beds stay clean with less water.
One cubic yard of mulch covers about 108 sq ft at 3" deep (or 160 sq ft at 2"). Measure your beds, add them up and divide by 108 for a 3" layer.
